$1.79 provides a hot Christmas meal

Most of us receive Christmas letters that include the latest news from family and friends.

So this year, I want to tell you what’s new with our family here at Great Falls Rescue Mission.

Our family grew! Our Haven of Hope Women & Family Shelter has been full to capacity since it opened. In fact, we often have to sleep people on the floor in the family room because there is nowhere else for them to go!

This year was a real challenge! We provided over 22,206 nights of shelter and served more than 61,104 meals. This winter the demand has increased as we help even more people who have nowhere else to turn.

Christmas is an especially busy time here at the Mission. Our shelter beds fill to capacity and the dining room is full at mealtime. In addition to food and shelter, the Mission offers special programs including more than 500 Christmas meals for homeless and near-homeless families in the Great Falls area.
