 POSITION: WOMEN & FAMILIES SHELTER SUPERVISOR

 

PURPOSE: To minister to homeless and hurting women and families, oversee the providing of emergency shelter and other care as needed, help clients develop a relationship with Jesus and give the tools to live independently.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Supervision of women and children.
Planning and executing activities for women and children.
Available to work days, evenings and weekends.
Clear communication with the Women & Families Shelter Director.
Teach Bible-based classes to those on the Humbled Hearts Discipleship Program.
Work in cooperation with the staff at the Men’s Shelter.
Perform other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Be a Christian and maintain a Christ-like lifestyle.
Have a love for hurting people.
Be able to share Jesus with women and children.
Be able to give spiritual and emotional support to women and children from all walks of life.
Be able to minister in a cross-cultural environment.
Must hold a current Montana Driver’s License.
Computer skills.
Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn.
 
TRAINING/ORIENTATION: The Great Falls Rescue Mission will provide on-the-job training until such time as he/she is determined to be appropriately prepared to be unsupervised.
 
 
 

 


*POSITION:  ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Accounting)

 

PURPOSE:  Assist Business Administrator to provide support services to function effectively in the ministry of the Great Falls Rescue Mission to the homeless, hurting, and hungry of North Central Montana.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provides duties in a job-share, fast-paced environment in the Business Office of the Great Falls Rescue Mission.

  • Enter financial data into QuickBooks.  Maintain Petty Cash fund.
  • Assist Supervisor in preparation and distribution of financial and budget reports, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial analysis, employee benefits, tax reports, etc.
  • Supervise, develop, analyze, and revise administration of Gifts-in- Kind program.
  • Provide for support of Mission procurement policy and administration.
  • Maintain and/or supervise accurate and timely file records for department.
  • Perform General office work and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Provide evidence of an evangelical, born-again relationship with Christ Jesus.
  • Proficient in Data Processing skills, Microsoft Word & Excell, & QuickBooks Pro.
  • Accounting experience, preferably in Non-Profit accounting (Minimum 1-2 years).
  • Maintain confidentiality in all accounting and personnel situations,  develop trust relationship with employees, clients, vendors, etc.; maintain accurate, timely records.
  • Provide services to staff, vendors, clients, etc. in Christ-like manner.
  • Compensation will depend upon experience and training.

TRAINING/ORIENTATION:  The Mission will provide training as needed in Rescue Mission uniqueness, non-profit accounting and ministry operation as needed.  Other training will be provided pertaining to the needs of the Mission.
